Students in Grades 4, 7, 10 and 12, their parents and all staff in B.C. public schools are invited to participate in an annual online Student Learning Survey about their school experience. This Survey is unique in its scope, size and usefulness to schools. It gathers information from parents, school staff and students on topics related to school environment, safety, and achievement. The information is used for planning in individual schools and provides a district and provincial perspective.
We encourage you to participate in this survey, as the results are important in identifying current strengths, as well as determining where the school needs to focus on improvement. The surveys contain standard questions for the Province – in addition, questions from the school and/or district that focus on local conditions or issues are included. The Ministry of Education produced Provincial, District and School Reports for previous years, which can be viewed at the following site:
Parents can access the survey at www.bced.gov.bc.ca/sat_survey/access.htm (please select your child’s school and grade level in order to access the appropriate survey).
The survey will take 10 to 15 minutes to complete and has been extended until May 31, 2018.
